I often find that they are seriously just as good from a mix as they are from scratch, I've tried both and usually never bother with scratch any more.<br /><br />great thought that your chicken turned out happily! T...I've had lots of failures with pancakes too. They seem like they should be so simple... but they're NOT. Especially since I want to use whole wheat flour. My current favourite recipe is PW's "Sour Cream Pancakes" from her cookbook, but not on her website. Except I use plain yogurt instead of sour cream. And whole wheat flour instead of white.
